Generate Your Own Leads and Build a List

If you want to build email lists of significant size, then you need to use multiple list-building methods. Blogging, article marketing, search engine optimization, and pay per click marketing will certainly help you, but all are time intensive, and, at least in the case of PPC, can be a very expensive way to build email lists.

In my own efforts to build email lists in various markets, I've had good success with two services, in particular, and I'm an affiliate referrer for both of them.

• Coregistration Swapping - using this service, you can now participate in a coregistration swap by putting a line of code on your pages to call an "exit popup" when visitors leave your website. When people sign up for other lists via your link, you earn credits which in turn provide coregistrants to your email list from links which appear on the exit popups on other sites in the niche you select. The whole thing takes only a few minutes to set up, and can bring you quite a few new subscribers over time. You also have the option, to buy more credits for a modest monthly fee, so you can build your email list even faster. You're not earning anything from the people who leave your site without buying, so why not turn exit traffic into credits that will bring you subscribers?

  The guys who run this service also offer a variety of list-building tips, and "list building club", and are among the most prolific list builders that I know of. You will learn plenty, and their basic membership is free.





• Your Display Ad Sent to a Large List - this service maintains a very large, segmented database, divided into a large variety of interest areas, to which you can send your HTML display ad (they even help with your ad creative!) highlighting your product, service, or opportunity, and they guarantee that people will spend at least 20 seconds on your site when they click the link in your email. You collect your own opt-in email leads and/or sales from the resulting traffic. While they do have database segments devoted to MLM and business opportunities, they also have large numbers of people with a wide variety of other interests.

  You can also buy banner ad and text link impressions, but I've never had much luck using them. Of course, your results might be quite different, depending on your market and your creative abilities.

  Finally, this list building service also gives you the opportunity to buy a solo mailing to their entire database of over 400,000, or to place a small banner and text ad in their coregistration path, and generate your own coregistration leads that way. Their coregistration service has limited openings, so if you are interested, jump on board if you seen an opening announced.
